At the heart of the valley below the peaks of Avoriaz and Nyon, Morzine is warm and welcoming. It’s a real town with modern
facilities, but retains the heart and atmosphere of a traditional Savoyarde village.
It’s been a ski resort since the 1930’s but has been developed with respect for its heritage. No High-rise here, just traditional wooden chalets, apartments and hotels.
There are lots of good shops, bars, restaurants, clubs, 2 cinemas (showing English version films), and even classical music concerts in the beautiful village church.
Morzine is about 75 minutes from Geneva Airport, giving some of the shortest transfer times of any comparable resort, and about 560 miles from Calais, mostly by motorway, drivable in about 10 hours.
